Biography

Hyodo was born in 1974 and raised in Kyoto. While studying furniture making at a trade school, he encountered a small sashimono box on a visit to a company that produces utensils for the tea ceremony. The passion for the precision beauty that he experienced in that work set him on his life's course, beginning 20 years ago with a job at that same company and later independently, completely engrossed in his career in sashimono making.
